New research projects on financialization and neighborhood stigmatization

Congratulations to Defne Kadioglu and Chiara Valli who have been successful in securing funding from the Swedish Council for Sustainable Development (FORMAS) within the category Research Projects for Early Career Researchers.

Defne’s project – Social Sustainability and Area-Based Interventions for Stigmatized Neighborhoods: A Comparison of Malmö and Berlin – has a budget of 3.9 million SEK and is a collaboration with Martin Grander from Malmö University and Visiting Professor Mustafa Dikeç.

With a budget of also 3.9 million SEK, Chiara’s team includes Carina Listerborn and Brett Christophers (Uppsala University) and is titled Financialization of everyday life in Sweden. Intersectional perspectives on housing and labor precarity.
