Opportunities to Join Us
Explore our recurring calls for visiting scholars and artists-in-residence—open invitations to become part of our dynamic and interdisciplinary research environment.
Call: Visiting Scholars
We regularly invite postdoctoral urban researchers to join us for a one-month fully funded research stay at Malmö University. Visiting scholars are integrated into the Institute’s academic life, participating in seminars, lectures, and collaborative research. The call is open to scholars with a PhD awarded within the past decade and with a demonstrated interest in multidisciplinary urban research.
Call: Artist in Residence
In collaboration with the School of Arts and Communication (K3), the IUR offers a fully funded one-month residency for artists whose work engages with urban themes. The residency supports project-based, research-driven artistic practice, providing access to university facilities and the opportunity to present work publicly. Artists become part of a creative, interdisciplinary environment with strong ties to Malmö’s vibrant cultural scene.
