Lisa Vollmer Visits the IUR as a Guest Researcher

The IUR is excited to welcome Lisa Vollmer as a guest researcher from February 24 until March 22.

Lisa Vollmer is a researcher with the research group “Urban Politics” within the research area “Politics and Planning” at Leibniz Institute for Research in Society and Space, Erkner, Germany. She holds a PhD in sociology on tenant protests in Berlin and New York. Her research focuses on housing, social movements, governance and climate justice. She is a member of the editorial board of sub\urban. zeitschrift für kritische stadtforschung (journal for critical urban research). In addition to research, she is dedicated to transferring knowledge to civil society organisations and administrations through publications and consulting activities.

While at the institute, Lisa will lead a Brown Bag Seminar on February 26 at 12:00 with the topic: The socio-ecological housing crisis. New valorization strategies and changing institutions.
