IUR member, Marwa Dabaieh hosted a workshop as part of a research project funded by the Joint Committee for Nordic research councils in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NOS-HS). It is a cooperation between the research councils in Finland, Iceland and Sweden. The workshop is the second in a series of three. It was organised in Lund between 20th and 21st June 2022. The theme of the workshop is Earthen architecture design and construction sustainability practice. Two intensive days in Kulturen museum in Lund with rich talks and discussion among participants from Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Denmark, Turkey, Morocco, Egypt, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal. The workshop also had a hands on practice using earthen materials. It is always useful to get your hand in the mud and work with your hands.

The outcome of the workshop will be in the form of papers published in a journal special edition.
