Pål Brunnström is a researcher and teacher at the Department of Urban Studies, Malmö University and also connected to the Institute for Studies in Malmö History. He is currently researching the establishment of the first textile industries in Malmö, and how they were intertwined with the global colonial economy during the 19th century. He is Doctor in history and has specialized in urban history. Pål has previously researched queer history, migration history and racism, elite history with a focus on Swedish capital owners, and labour history.
