Housing Precariousness in Sweden: Highlighting the Experiences of Women with Temporary Housing Solutions
In this chapter, we aim to add to the understanding of housing precariousness in the Global North by highlighting the experiences of middle-aged (mostly) single women, often with a background from other countries. This group has been neglected in research on precarious housing to date. We aim to bridge the structural analysis with individual, everyday experiences from the precarious housing market in Stockholm. Quantitative approaches do not address these complexitiesand the diversity of experiences from the housing market; for this reason, we suggest using an ethnographic approach to grasp the complex consequences of housing inequalities.
