IUR has entered an agreement with the International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS) at Leiden University that will allow IUR to host 4-5 month visits from postdoctoral researchers nominated as fellows in the Asia in the World program.
From IIAS’s website about the fellowship:
The ‘Asia in the World’ programme is designed to promote innovative research and global collaboration in Asian Studies, ensuring that the fellowship benefits both individual researchers and the broader academic community. The co-hosting model helps sustain our ambition to make it a truly multi-centred mode of knowledge production and collaborative exchange.
Related to IUR’s focus on urban justice, IIAS promotes critical, humanistic, and collaborative work on, with, in, and beyond Asia. These program fellows will be invited to participate in center activities, speak in lectures and seminars, and contribute to the research environment.
We are truly excited to begin as co-hosts and look forward to welcoming future scholars!
