Congratulations are in order to IUR researcher Lina Olsson, whose article “Deconstructing the urban viewpoint: Exploring uneven regional development with Nancy Fraser’s notion of justice” (available open access), co-authored alongside Kristina Grange, Nils Björling, and Julia Fredriksson (Chalmers University of Technology), was designated on the shortlist for Best Article in 2024 by Urban Studies journal! The article aimed to illuminate the dominance of urban perspectives in urban-regional development policy and deconstruct city-centrism through a study in two Swedish regions.
The Urban Studies Best Article is awarded by the editors to the author(s) of what they consider to be the most innovative and agenda-setting article published in a given year. Thirteen articles were shortlisted in consideration for this prize.
