All set to host (t)Error on Tour 2021

Adriana de La Peña Espinosa Conferences

From 9-11 of June, the Institute for Urban Research will digitally host the annual conference (t)Error on Tour 2021.

Terror on Tour is an international network of interdisciplinary academics and artists whose research practices engage with intersections of [t]error and travel. This edition of the conference will cross physical, conceptual, and disciplinary borders under its new name: Error on Tour, with the 2021 conference serving as a bridge between terror and error.’

In bringing the conference to Nordic Europe and placing it in the “borderscape” city of Malmö, the organizers aim to develop new intellectual and creative synergies that interrogate the “North” as a utopia/dystopia/heterotopia, particular through the notion of the “stray.”

And even though we would have loved to host this conference physically, the digital dimension has allowed having artists, scholars, and activists from all over the world, which would have been hard to achieve in a physical conference.
