I am a PhD Candidate at the Department of Urban Studies at Malmö University, investigating the interplay of social innovations and urban development in rapidly urbanizing cities of Nigeria. 

I am involved in rural and urban development in Nigeria for the past 10 years, supporting the transition of cities and communities to be more sustainable. I have worked on urban and rural water projects, solid waste management, urban planning, city and water masterplans, national roadmaps on water and solid waste management, and open and social innovation. I believe the urbanization phenomena we are witnessing today in the majority of the cities of the global south is complex and therefore needs multidisciplinary solution providers to synergize ideas and efforts in supporting the sustainable urban development of these regions.
