Defne Kadioglu is a researcher working on housing inequality, urban policy, and political economy, often in their intersection with racialized geographies. She has published on issues such as rental housing financialization, gentrification and rent gap formation in stigmatized neighborhoods as well as tenant struggles. In the framework of two research projects, she is currently interrogating the implications of sustainable finance tools within the Swedish housing and public sectors as well as the housing-energy nexus in the context of a just green transitions.
