- 15:15 - 17:00
- LECTURE HALL B2, NIAGARA, MALMÖ UNIVERSITY
Open Urban Seminars
“Förortspolitik” is here to stay. But how can we understand the wide-spread use of Swedish urban policies that aim to “combat segregation”? Nazem Tahvilzadeh, researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm will discuss the political functions of the area-based anti-segregation policies from a critical perspective, with a focus on how they establish a certain de-policitizing political order in relation to civil society actors in the periphery of cities.
The lecture will be held in English.
