Nawar Alatassi studied architecture and got his master’s and Ph.D. from the Technical University of Warsaw, Poland in 1997. He worked as an assistant professor at various universities and countries, while at the same time founding his own consulting office for architecture and interior design.

Nawar worked within IUR’s research related to housing. He produced a property and architectural analysis of Herrgården and conducted interviews with tenants to find out the perception of their housing conditions.
