Alexander Kalyukin is a human geographer interested in early modernist housing and urban planning. He defended his Ph.D. thesis at Uppsala University, Sweden in 2021. His current research explores the social meaning and function of housing, the development and circulation of planning ideas and visions, and the everyday lived experience of the built environment.
