Adriana de la Peña is a PhD candidate in Urban Studies at Malmö University and an affiliate of the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems, and Software Program – Humanity and Society (WASP-HS). Her research explores the governance of Urban AI and its implications for city management and policy-making in Latin America. She examines how emerging AI technologies shape urban processes with a critical focus on power dynamics.

Research Themes

Global Urbanism aims to explore the heterogeneity/diversity of urban conditions, practices and experiences in different geographical locations. It aims to highlight how contemporary urban theorization reflects (or fails to reflect) this diversity.
